Empowering Women in Business – QFC Launches Event to Promote Diversity in the Workplace

The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) Authority has announced it will be hosting an inaugural women’s breakfast event, under the theme "Empowering Women in Business".


The event has been organised in partnership with Women's Entrepreneurship Day, which is internationally recognised and celebrated globally every year on 19 November. Global ambassadors and educational institutions from around the world represent the day by hosting events and conferences worldwide in the lead up to the day, with the QFC also taking part. A panel, consisting of top female business minds in Qatar will present thought-leading discussions surrounding business matters, including how to be an entrepreneur and the importance of reputation management.


Speakers at the event will include Sheikha Alanoud bint Hamad Al-Thani, Managing Director, Business Development, QFC Authority, H.E. Dr Hessa Al Jaber, former Minister of Information and Communications Technology and current Chairperson, Trio Investment, Aysha al Mudahka, CEO, Qatar Business Incubation Centre and Fatma Al-Nuaimi, Communications Director, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.

 

QFC continues to support the growing role of women in the workplace as an avenue for corporate excellence and diversity. We are proud to be hosting and leading our own event in recognition of Women's Entrepreneurship Day and I look forward to hearing the discussions by our panel and guests.
